All patients must be prepared to make the necessary payment arrangements to cover any co-payments or deductibles as indicated by your insurance plan at the time of service.
Additionally, please be aware that you will be asked to make payment on any outstanding balances due at the time of service. We have a professional billing staff in our Bakersfield location to answer any questions you might have. For your convenience, we accept cash, check, VISA, and MasterCard.
Referrals and Authorizations
It is important for our HMO/POS patients to note that, according to the insurance companies that we participate with, all patients must obtain a referral from their primary care physician in order to see one of our cardiologists. You may be asked for your referral number when you call to make an appointment and you must have it at the time of your appointment. If you arrive for your routine appointment without your referral, it may be necessary to reschedule you for the next available appointment date.

Dealing with insurance and billing issues can sometimes be confusing. CCVMG's billing department staff will be happy to assist you with your billing questions. Because insurance plans and benefits vary greatly, specific questions about your policy and coverage, including co-payments, deductibles, and pre-authorization, should be directed to your insurance carrier or employer.
We accept and bill most major insurance plans. We ask that you bring your medical insurance card with you to every appointment to enable us to maintain the correct insurance information.
We do expect payment at the time of service. If we contract with your insurance, we expect your portion of the co-pay, deductible, or co-insurance at the time of service.
